Vodafone is rumoured to be in line to seal exclusive rights to sell the Samsung S5600 Blade in the UK.

Speculation that the network will be the new mobile phone’s carrier in the UK comes after it appeared for sale on the company's Spanish website.

According to Tech Radar, the handset is available for free on selected contract deals for Spanish buyers, although it is not yet known if this will be the case when it launches in the UK.

Features of the Samsung S5600 Blade include a 3.2 megapixel camera, expandable memory via a microSD card slot and a 2.8-inch touchscreen which employs the TouchWiz user interface.

Latterly, Samsung has overcome stiff competition to become one of the industry’s larger players, buoyed by the success of the Samsung S8000 Jet, which has racked up over two million pre-orders.

The South Korean firm has also benefited from the ongoing popularity of the Samsung F480 Tocco and its slimmed down successor the Samsung S5230 Tocco Lite.
