Carphone Warehouse will start taking pre-orders for Samsung’s Galaxy S4 tomorrow (March 28th), with some smart freebies up for grabs for early birds.

The retail giant is offering every pre-order customer a bundle of accessories including a screen protector, carry case and car-charger, which Carphone calculates is worth not far shy of £65.

If you’re among the first 2,000 to get your order in, however, you’ll be gifted a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, which might not be the newest or sexiest bit of Android tablet tech around but still retails for £150 or so.

Carphone COO Graham Stapleton said: "The Samsung Galaxy S4 is big news for anyone who already uses or is interested in getting a smartphone. Everyone is talking about this handset and it smashed all the registration records we've held for Samsung devices.

"When the handset launches on April 26th we're expecting our stores to be busier than at the height of the Christmas period, not least because we've got the widest range of networks available in the UK ensuring the best deals."

Pricing for the handset remains under wraps, but we think you should expect to pay between £40 or £42 per month to get the phone without having to shell out upfront.

Pending supply shortages of the kind that seem to affect too many new smartphone launches these days, the S4 is set to go on sale officially in the UK across the all major networks on April 26th.
