3 has cut the cost of the social networking-optimised INQ Mini 3G, as it looks to go head to head with the Samsung Genio Touch in the cut-throat Christmas market.
Samsung’s youth-focussed handset has proved a huge seller thanks largely to its affordable price point and widget-based homescreen that affords users one-touch access to all key social networking sites.
To head off the challenge it presents to the INQ Mini 3G, which also offers integrated Facebook and Twitter functionality, 3 has now slashed the price of the handset to £49.99 – a reduction of 15 per cent.
Other features of the INQ Mini 3G include a full QWERTY keyboard for fast text input, a 2.2-inch display and HSDPA support for a fast mobile internet experience.
The handset also offers expandable memory by up to 8GB via microSD card support, a media player that is compatible with all major file storage formats and a two megapixel camera.
