The HTC Flyer is now available on T-Mobile, as the carrier follows Three in offering contract deals for HTC’s first-ever tablet.
Existing T-Mobile smartphone or broadband customers can pick up the Flyer for £25 per month over a 24 month contract, plus a one-off charge of £199 to cover the cost of the device.
Consumers who are new to the carrier also pay £25 per month over two years, but are liable for an upfront fee of £229.
Both contracts include 1GB of mobile data usage per month, plus a further 1GB of so-called ‘quiet time’ data which can be used between 12am and 10am.
Featuring a aluminium unibody shell that recalls HTC’s Legend handset, the Flyer packs a seven-inch LCD touchscreen display and features stylus support for note-taking.
It’s also home to a rear-mounted five megapixel camera, a secondary 1.3 megapixel snapper for video calls and is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
The Flyer ships with 2.3 version of Android, but is due an update to the tablet-optimised Honeycomb version imminently.
