A new handset from LG, the Optimus Sol, has been leaked online ahead of its official announcement.
Snaps and footage of the Sol, also known as E730, appeared on German tech site Best Boyz, revealing a slick, candy bar-shaped kit much like previous efforts in the Optimus range.
According to the site, the Sol is home to 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, which is of the AMOLED variety rather than NOVA as featured on the Optimus Black.
It’s powered by a 1GHz processor and runs the 2.3.3 version of Android Gingerbread with LG’s proprietary Optimus UI slathered on top. What resolution camera it packs, though, is unknown. But going by trend, we expect it to be at least a five-megapixel number.
According to Best Boyz the handset is ‘definitely’ coming to Vodafone, which gives us hope we might see it released in the UK too. Better yet, it’ll reportedly cost €299 (approx. £263), making it rather cheap for a mid-to-entry-level smartie.
Keep ‘em peeled for more information about the LG Optimus Sol in the near future. In the meantime, see it in action in the video below:
