LG has trailed a new fash-pack-flavoured Prada-branded phone, as it looks to its handset heritage for the future of its Android smarties.
Five years after the companies first hooked up, they have today announced they have renewed their partnership.
And given that they’ve also showcased some teaser images of what will be the third LG Prada phone, it looks like we won’t have to wait too long for the first fruits of the deal - in the form of a kit informally dubbed the Prada phone 3.0.
Right now, there’s no spec sheet to speak of. And it’s hard to tell too much from the snaps – other than it takes its design cues from the svelte earlier efforts in the range and that it’ll pack a rear-facing camera and 3.5mm headphone jack.
However, we’d bet our entire collection of back issues of '60s style bible Nova that it’ll run Android. Most likely the 2.3 Gingerbread version rather than the up to the minute Ice Cream Sandwich iteration.
A due date isn’t mentioned. But we think it’ll be sashaying its way down a catwalk at February’s Mobile World Congress expo at the latest.
