Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 5se will go on sale on March 18th, reports suggest, just three days after the device is officially launched at a dedicated event in California.
That bold claim has been made by a string of sources said to be clued-in on Apple’s plans, who’ve spoken with 9to5mac.
The company is widely expected to hold its iPhone 5se launch event on March 15th.
Word is that the all–new iPad Air 3 will also be shown off too, before going on sale alongside the new 4–inch iPhone.
Long rumoured to be titled the iPhone 6c, the iPhone 5se is expected to offer a string of updated internal features inside a design which looks similar to 2013’s iPhone 5s.
That means we can look forward to an improved camera, matching that of the iPhone 6, the latest A9 chipset, full support for Apple Pay and always–on Siri activation.
Apple is looking to boost sales of its smaller iPhone, at a time when overall sales of the device look set to decline for the first time ever.
The iPad Air 3 is believed to feature support for Apple’s iPad accessories range, including its smart keyboard and Pencil stylus. Internal specs are also expected to be overhauled.
Apple is likely to send out invites confirming its March 15th event at the end of the month.
