Carphone Warehouse has unveiled a new tariff which costs less than 20p a day, with the high street retailer saying it’s cheaper than the much–loved Cadbury’s Freddo chocolate bar.
Available on the shop’s own iD Mobile network, the new offer works out at £6 a month and includes access to super fast 4G, thanks to iD’s tie up with Three.
That price will get you 250MB of data, 500 minutes of calls and unlimited text messages to boot.
The two year package includes a free Alcatel Pixi 4, which comes with a five–inch display and 8GB of storage. That's probably about right for mobile users who just need enough capacity for the most basic apps and a few songs and videos.
The offer is part of Carphone Warehouse’s Shockproof plans, which offer capped spend to ensure that budge- conscious mobile users do not overspend each month.
Carphone Warehouse’s Pay Monthly Director John Coleman said: “4G for just 20p a day is quite remarkable when you think the first 4G tariff was around £31 a month three years ago.”
Customers can pick up the phone and deal from Carphone now.
