Do you run or work for a local voluntary group, charity, housing association, council or community centre? Do you run events for your members on the topic of financial matters and saving money?
The uSwitch Community Events team would love the opportunity to come to an event you are hosting and educate, inform and demonstrate to your members how they can save money on their energy bills, all free of charge.
What we offer
Not everyone is able to use or comfortable using the Internet to compare energy suppliers. Many simply aren’t aware that switching is possible. Our Community Events initiative is designed to raise awareness of the money-saving potential of comparing and switching energy supplier to those that need it most.
What happens at an event?
Our experienced and friendly team of energy experts will work in partnership with your volunteer group, charity, housing association or faith organisation to show residents/members just how easy it is to save money on household bills by comparing energy plans. In addition, we provide simple and free household energy saving tips.
We do this by running a presentation of our services or by providing a one-to-one advisory-based service. We aim to help inform your community of the money saving potential.
Can I trust that my group will get impartial information?
Yes. uSwitch is accredited by Ofgem under its Confidence Code, which requires comparison sites to act independently of and impartially to energy suppliers. Since 2000 we have helped more than 3 million customers save money on their energy bills.
We have earned Ofgem's Confidence Code stamp of approval, which is a voluntary code of practice for online domestic price comparison services.
This code of practice makes our switching service reliable and provides reassurance for consumers. Requirements include independence, impartiality, the fair presentation of tariffs, and the accuracy of information presented.
