Launched in October of 2015, the phone comes with a 5.2inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels. It has a simple yet classic design, with a plastic shell overlapping the Gorilla Glass 3 protected screen. The front of the handset is a glossy black whilst the rear has a stunning matte effect.
Not only does this handset include a range of fancy new features exclusive to Windows 10, it also comes with a massive 32GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 200GB by using a MicroSD memory card. This makes it an ideal choice for both a personal or a business phone with plenty of storage for apps, files and photos.
Those interested in photography will enjoy using the impressive 20-megapixel camera on the rear of the phone, although camera features are still quite basic. However, the phone does include impressive lens and flash capabilities. There’s also a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 is one of the first in line to use a range of futuristic like technology features, with a cool iris scanning feature for unique and nifty unlocking. Just when you thought fingerprint unlocking was cool enough, you can now unlock your phone by simply looking at it. This isn’t the only great feature included, either – Continuum allows you to scale the software to TV proportions for a useful desktop-like mode whilst Cortana the virtual assistant is on hand to help with all your needs.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor along with a huge 3GB of RAM. With its HD screen and clean-cut design, it’s easy to see why this handset is a serious contender in the competition.
