Details have apparently emerged of a second Google phone, as the company steps up its challenge to the iPhone.
According to a report from Boy Genius, the phone will be titled the G2 and differs principally from its predecessor by replacing the pull-out keyboard with a touchscreen operating system.
The G2 is also expected to incorporate a VGA camera alongside is five megapixel camera, This ought to enable user to enjoy better quality video calling.
Elsewhere, the handset’s overhaul is not too radical with the trackball and software that characterised the G1 phone still in place.
The G2 is now expected to launch in the UK on T-Mobile in April, having previously been pencilled in for February. The need to iron out software glitches has been cited as the reason for the delay.
A G3 handset is set to launch later in the year, the report added, but did not give details of its specifications.
