Demand for LG’s forthcoming KM Arena 900 handset is outstripping expectations, with pre-orders hitting over one million units.
The pre-sale figure augers well for LG’s flagship phone, which was only unveiled last month at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The touchscreen phone garnered a slew of positive reviews at the mobile phone industry trade show and was the source of much interest principally for being the first handset to incorporate the Korean mobile communications giant’s patented S-Class 3-D interface
Other key selling points of the LG KM Arena 900 include a five megapixel camera, Schneider-Kreuznach optics, autofocus and flash. The phone also boasts impressive video capture capabilities and can record at 720x480 at 30 fps or QVGA at 120fps.
Additionally, owners will benefit from fast HSDPA web browsing and downloads at 7.2Mbps, 8GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot which enables expansion of storage space up to 16GB.
In the UK, the LG Arena KM900 will be available initially on T-Mobile, with other networks expected to carry the phone soon after.
Price points have yet to be confirmed by T-Mobile, but contracts are expected to be in line with the network’s other offers.
