The hugely-anticipated Nokia N97 will arrive on Vodafone in just two months time, it has been announced.
A July release date for the flagship mobile phone has been confirmed on a special N97 webpage set up by Vodafone.
Visitors to the page can register their interest in the phone and will be sent further details closer to its release date, as well as information about the Vodafone tariffs and contracts which will be on offer.
Developed as a challenger to the all-conquering iPhone and the new wave of Android-powered handsets, the N97 features an impressively large touchscreen, 48GB of onboard memory and a five megapixel camera.
Also featured on the N-series smartphone is a full, slide-out Qwerty keyboard, GPS and Wi-Fi support and HSDPA connectivity for fast downloads at up to 7.2Mb.
Nokia is planning a range of high-profile handset launches this year, including the 5030 XpressMusic phone and the N86, which houses an eight megapixel camera.
Meanwhile, Vodafone is gearing up for the release of the HTC Magic Android-powered handset, which is now due on May 5th.
