T-Mobile has unveiled a new mobile phone tariff intended to help small businesses who are struggling in the face of the economic downturn.
Dubbed the T-Mobile Business SIM-Plan, the deal offers small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) unlimited texts and 2,000 minutes of inclusive voice calls for £30 per month when they choose a 30-day rolling contract.
Alternatively, they can opt for a six-month or 12-month plan, which both offer the same monthly minutes and texts and are priced at £27.50 per month and £25 per month respectively.
Oliver Chivers, head of business marketing for T-Mobile UK, said: “In today’s tough market conditions small businesses need all the features that come with long-term mobile plans but often don’t need to upgrade their phones or want to lock themselves into lengthy contracts as they’re unsure of what their exact future needs will be.
“The T-Mobile Business SIM-Plan has been built with small businesses in mind – offering unrivalled value for money, with short-term plans and a plug-and-play SIM card that meets their real needs.”
SMEs are believed to have been among the businesses to have been hit hardest by the economic downturn.
This was borne out by recent research conducted by the Open University Business School for the Finance & Leasing Association in which it was discovered that 71 per cent of London-based SMEs saw their sales fall or stagnate during the fourth quarter of last year.
