Sonim has combined with car marque Land Rover for a new branded rugged phone, dubbed the S1 Land Rover.
The new mobile phone is guaranteed to work at temperatures up to -20°C and is robust enough to withstand a 2m drop onto a concrete surface.
Sonim claims that the S1 Land Rover will also remain unscathed after being submerged in water for up to half an hour and offers owners an impressive 18 hours of talk time on a single, full charge.
Other features of the handset include A-GPS, a fun two megapixel, waterproof camera, a WAP browser, flashlight, expandable memory, FM radio and Bluetooth support.
Bob Plaschke, Sonim’s chief executive officer, said that the phone is aimed at “global adventurers” and claimed that it represents the next stage in the evolution of robust handsets.
The launch of the new mobile phone follows the success of the Sonim XP3 Enduro, which is available in a choice of black or yellow colour options from Top 10 Mobile Phones.
