Rihanna gets own Symbian app

A new application for touchscreen Nokia mobiles running the Symbian S60 operating system has been released, giving fans of flourishing star Rihanna access to exclusive media content.

Various Nokia handsets are expected to be compatible with the application, including the 5800 XpressMusic, the N97 and the new X6.

Those who download the app will be able to view photos, music and video exclusives, with the likelihood that this will include clips of Rihanna's recent London performance that helped to launch Nokia's new touch screen music phones.

The app will also provide fans with details of Rihanna's upcoming tour taking place next year and will give particularly avid followers a detailed biography of the singer.

The Rihanna app is available from the Ovi Store or the Nokia Music Store, although there is no word as to whether the app will become available on non-Nokia touch screen mobile phones that run the Symbian operating system.
