LG is looking to snap up pay as you go customers wanting to upgrade to the touchscreen experience with its newly announced Cookie Fresh.
With a three-inch resistive touchscreen and a two megapixel camera, the Cookie Fresh will have a fairly standard set of sub-smartphone specs on the technical side, a fact which is compounded by the lack of 3G connectivity.
However, music fans will be pleased to hear that LG has done away with a proprietary headphone socket in favour of the 3.5mm standard connection.
The new addition to LG's Cookie family of touchscreen phones is excepted to come to market for less than £100.
Snaps taken by PortableGear showed the Cookie Fresh as it was revealed during the CeBIT expo.
LG has also announced that it will launch a slightly more powerful sibling for the Cookie Fresh, dubbed the GM360 Bali.
According to Dialaphone the Bali will have the same screen as the Fresh, but a five megapixel camera will boost its digital photography credentials.
Both the Cookie Fresh and the Bali will use LG's own S-Class user interface and there has been no official word as to whether the pair will make it to the UK in their current forms.
