Game publisher EA has announced the titles that its mobile division will be producing over the summer, with various releases covering all of the major mobile operating systems.
EA is bringing the eleventh incarnation of its American Football series Madden NFL to all of Apple's portable devices, including the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and it says that it will be available on the App Store in the autumn.
The iPhone is also getting Reckless Racing, which offers single and multiplayer race action from an overhead perspective that mixes retro style with modern graphics. This too has multiplayer and you can upload your best times to online leaderboards to give the game a competitive edge.
Android users will be able to get their hands on a collector's edition of The Sims 3 and this will allegedly be exclusive to T-Mobile customers who choose the Samsung Galaxy S smartphone.
Control freaks who own an iPhone can get involved with the simulation via SimCity Deluxe, which EA is set to launch over the summer. The Sims 3 is getting a pseudo-expansion pack for the iPhone as well, subtitled Ambitions, with a focus on building a unique career for virtual characters.
Classic games Yahtzee and Risk are also making their way to the iPhone and iPad and seminal arcade title R-Type is also going to be an Apple exclusive from EA.
The fourth game in the real time strategy series Command and Conquer is going to be available on the Brew platform in Java form, which will please entry-level users and should be ready to download this summer.
