The Nokia E7 smartphone looks finally set to arrive to market in the UK in April, according to a product page by Expansys.
The online vendor is currently taking preorders for the handset for a mind-boggling £494.99 and expects to begin shipping on April 12th.
The E7 was unveiled as one of four major Symbian3 smartphones, alongside the N8, C6 and C7, at the Nokia World expo and was originally due to ship earlier this month, with 3 confirmed to be onboard with offering the handset on contracts. But it has since been delayed for unknown reasons and now looks most likely to land in spring.
Touted as a spiritual successor to the age-old N900 Communicator, which made Nokia the go-to brand for corporate types way back when, the E7 is being marketed as a business-focussed smartie with a feature set that includes Mail for Exchange, QuickOffice for editing documents and presentations on the go and Microsoft Outlook integration for synchronisation of important information such as appointments and whatnot.
Standout specs of the handset itself include a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a four-inch AMOLED touchscreen on a hinge mechanism for hands-free video conferencing. Despite being a business smartie, the E7 is no slouch at taking photos with an impressive eight-megapixel snapper with dual LED flash, face recognition and HD video recording.
There’s also a 16GB of memory onboard for storing all your applications and files.
