3 has confirmed it will be offering Nokia’s latest flagship smartphone, the X7, when it goes on sale in Blighty next month.
The operator has updated its ‘coming soon’ page, which now shows the X7 landing in June. Although pricing details are as yet unconfirmed, expect to hear more about them very soon.
Customers interested in the X7 can register for updates on 3’s website.
So what’s new about the X7? Well, for starters, it packs a rather generously sized four-inch AMOLED display with ClearBlack technology, an eight-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and HD video recording capabilities, 16GB of storage via memory card and a plethora of extras including Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 3.0, FM radio receiver and a microUSB port with USB On-the-Go that allows the X7 to be used as a portable plug-n-play media drive.
Although it’s a bit hard to get too excited about a Symbian smartie these days, it has to be said that the X7, could be an exception due to its rather modish-looking design and brushed stainless steel chassis that we like very much.
Whether or not it will drum up any hype remains to be seen, but for now, Nokia fans at least have something to look forward to this summer until Espoo’s first hotly awaited debut Windows Phone 7 smartphone finally arrives.
