An almost comically mysterious photo purported to show the Samsung Galaxy S4 has surfaced online, as speculation around the handset starts to reach iPhone-style levels of ridiculousness.
Shrouded in more shadows than the vast steppes of Mordor, the snap shows an indistinct phone-shaped device with a boot-up screen that we’re asked to believe identifies it as the S4.
Alas, that’s – along with the serial number GT-I9500 – is pretty much all you can make out. Unless you’ve got night-vision glasses or uncommonly keen powers of sight, that is. In which case, let us know what you’re seeing and we'll credit you.
The S4 is stepping out of the gloaming and into the spotlight on March 14th at a press event at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, which will be broadcast simultaneously on the big screens in the brash and brassy environs of Times Square.
Rumoured to incorporate eye motion-sensitive controls, the Galaxy S4 is also expected to feature a larger, five-inch Super AMOLED HD screen, that’s up from S3’s 4.8 inches in a further blurring of the lines between tablets and smartphones.
Samsung is also rumoured to be planning to debut its octa-core processor on the Galaxy S4 and fit the handset with an Orb camera for 360-degree panoramic shots.
