Apple’s soon-to-be-released iPad 5 has appeared in a new clip from a Chinese parts supplier.
sw-box.com’s short video serves up a detailed comparison of the new device, pitting it against the current full-sized iPad and the iPad mini.
The video claims the iPad 5 is ‘slimmer, thinner and lighter’ than the current model.
The slate is noticeably shorter than the iPad 4, with a bezel measuring 2mm less on the new edition. It’s expected to weigh significantly less too, with the back cover on show here tipping the scales at just 90g.
The design is more in line with the iPad mini, unsurprising seeing as rumours and a series of other leaks suggest Apple is bringing its top-end device in line with its pared-down sibling.
There’s no word yet on a release date, although Apple is widely expected to be holding an event at the end of October or beginning of November, where it will also likely reveal a new iPad mini.
