Nokia looks set to reveal a number of new Lumia handsets at a special event in San Francisco on April 2nd, as it gears up for a fresh tilt at breaking the Android-Apple hegemony.
The Finnish mobile-maker has sent out press invites featuring the hashtag #moreLumia, in what's a pretty solid hint at what's in store for us.
While details are yet to be revealed, it seems likely these new phones will use Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 8.1 software.
That’s expected to be detailed at the same time, with the Redmond company’s Build conference also taking place in San Francisco at the start of next month.
Recently rumoured Lumia phones include the Lumia 630 and Lumia 930.
While little is known about the latter, the former is expected to pack the same design as Nokia’s Android–powered X Series phones, which were revealed at Mobile World Congress in February.
Microsoft is likely to finalise its takeover of Nokia very soon, meaning this could be one of the last events that the Finns hold for the Lumia brand.
