Tesco’s long–mooted sequel to its best–selling, not to mention critically lauded, Hudl tablet will launch this Friday, October 3rd.
The beleaguered supermarket giant yesterday sent out invites to a press event with the hashtag #letshudl taking pride of place.
That doesn’t leave much to the imagination when it comes to working out what will be on show at the London gathering.
Users can register for updates about the Hudl 2 on the company’s website, which now has a special page dedicated to its tablet brand.
There’s no word on specs, but previously Tesco execs have talked up the idea of boosting the internals of the device, with a faster processor and better screen expected to be among the major enhancements.
All this while keeping the price low, apparently.
If the Hudl 2 can match its predecessor’s £119 launch price tag, it’ll surely be a winner in the run up to Christmas.
The launch comes after Tesco revealed irregularities in its accounts last week, as well as news that it was scrapping plans for an own-brand smartphone.
