The LG-built successor to the Nexus 5 is due to land around the end of the month, and now it’s leaked again. This time, we see it from the side.
It’s the first good look at the side we’ve had of the device. And it gives away a few clues as to what to expect.
The button layout is slightly different to the previous Nexus 5, which is pictured below it. The power and volume buttons are now on the same side, and are further down than on the original.
The buttons also appear to be chamfered, and the edge looks like plastic rather than metal.
In keeping with our renders, the camera appears to protrude a little from the back. The sides also appear to be reverse-angled – just like on the original Nexus 5 – to provide better grip.
All in all, it looks very similar to the original, though slimmer and hopefully with smaller bezels.
The new phone could also be called the Nexus 5X, to differentiate it from the original handset.
And if you think this image looks a little odd, it’s because AndroidPit has Photoshopped out the background to protect its source.
The bigger of the two Nexus phones will be made by Huawei, and will launch on the same day. It’s said to have a 5.76-inch screen and the same fingerprint sensor on the back.
