iPad Pro: Apple releases new version of iOS 9 to fix glitch

Apple has released a new version of iOS 9 specifically for its recently launched iPad Pro 9.7–inch. The updated software fixes a problem which last month saw scores of users complain that their tablets were rendered unusable after they upgraded their operating system.

The software is a new build of iOS 9.3.2, the same version which saw iPad Pros which were not even a month old stop working.

At the time, users said that after installing the software, their tablets went blank.

Apple’s suggestion of trying to update via iTunes did not work.

With this new update, Apple says that those previously affected will need to plug their tablet into a Mac or PC to get the software working.

Those whose iPads weren't affected will be able to update over the air via Wi–Fi.

The issue is the latest in a long line of problems with iOS 9.

The software, used on iPhones and iPads, has led to a series of Wi–Fi related problems, Bluetooth failures and apps crashing due to apps using excessive backlinks.

Apple is set to reveal the new version of iOS, iOS 10, at the Worldwide Developer Conference, which starts in San Francisco on June 13th.
