HTC’s U 11, the Taiwanese mobile-maker’s new flagship phone, is due to launch on 16th May.
But ahead of its due date, the company has released another teaser video. And while the phone itself doesn’t make an appearance in the clip, HTC has already revealed that the U 11 will have touch-sensitive edges.
These can be used to scroll through menus, with users squeezing the device to select a particular option.
It’s a novel approach and one which could win HTC a few upgrading smartphone fans, who want something a little different to Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and can’t bring themselves to wait for Apple’s iPhone 8.
The HTC U 11, initially billed as the HTC U, has been the subject of a string of leaks.
There are said to be plans for a 2K AMOLED screen measuring 5.5–inches, a 12 megapixel rear and 16-megapixel front camera and storage up to 128GB, with microSD support thrown in.
