The HTC U looks set to be officially unveiled on 16th May, after the Taiwanese mobile-maker released a teaser for a special event in its home country on that date.
The device, which will be revealed at 7am UK time, will apparently feature a new ‘squeezable’ control option.
According to a clip unveiled on HTC’s Twitter account, users will be able to scroll through menus by swiping up and down the side of the handset, before squeezing the phone to select their chosen option.
The function, said to be called Sense Touch, can seen in action in the clip above.
While this novel feature will grab the headlines, the HTC U’s overall spec sheet looks impressive too.
Rumours suggest it will boast 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, an all–metal frame and a 5.5–inch AMOLED screen.
