Samsung is readying three different versions of its hotly tipped Galaxy S10 smartphone due for release in early 2019. And each of them seems to match the rumoured dimensions of Apple’s forthcoming new iPhone range.
A new report from analyst Ming Chi Kuo says Samsung has 5.8, 6.1 and 6.4–inch editions of the Galaxy S10 in the works.
The same analyst was the first to reveal that Apple is readying a basic upgrade of its existing iPhone X with 5.8–inch screen, as well as larger 6.4–inch iPhone X Plus and a more affordable 6.1–inch model with LCD screen.
If Kuo’s predictions are borne out, it will add to allegations that Samsung copies Apple’s approach in a bid to woo new customers.
Kuo says that the larger two Galaxy S10s will come with an in–screen fingerprint scanner, backing up recent reports that Samsung is finally ready to unleash tech that has been rumoured for years.
The smaller Galaxy S10 is due to feature a fingerprint scanner on its side. It’s believed 2019’s Galaxy Note 10 will also feature in–screen scanning smarts.
Before the Galaxy S10 hits shelves, Samsung will reveal its new Galaxy Note 9 at a special event in New York on 9th August.
