The new Palm smartphone is now available. The handset is exclusively sold through Vodafone, with prices starting at £31 a month with no upfront fee.
It can also be bought for £350 on pay as you go when bought with a £10 Big Value Bundle.
The phone is Palm’s first for a number of years. Palm was big at the turn of the century, thanks to the Palm Pilot and other PDAs (personal digital assistants, effectively the precursor to the modern smartphone).
The new handset is tiny, the size of a credit card. This is minute in today’s smartphone landscape, where screens regularly top 6 inches.
It’s designed as a second phone, one that you would maybe take to a festival and wouldn’t be too upset if you lost it. It comes with a 12-megapixel main camera and 8-megapixel front-facer.
