iPhone 4S on hand

T-Mobile has slashed the cost of the 16GB edition of the iPhone 4S for a limited period, cutting the cost of owning the phone by the best part of £150 over the course of the contract.

The network is now offering the phone on the Full Monty plan for £26 per month over 24 months – down from £31 per month previously. This offers unlimited data, T-Mobile minutes and texts, as well as 2,000 anytime, anynetwork call minutes per month.

T-Mobile has also trimmed the upfront free for the handset from £69.99 to £49.99, spelling total savings of £140.

Currently outperforming the newer iPhone 5 in uSwitch’s Mobile Tracker, which monitors searches and sales of the best-selling smartphones, the iPhone 4S teams a 3.5-inch Retina display with an eight-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording.

A dual-core A5 processor is also on board, as is the much-maligned, but now-much-improved Siri app, which allows users to carry out searches and interact with their handset simply through voice commands.
