Three has become the final UK 4G carrier to announce price points for the iPhone 5c, arming would-be buyers with the gen they need as the handset hits pre-order.

The numerical network is offering the 16GB entry-level handset for £37 per month, plus an upfront fee of £49. This includes 500 voice minutes, 5,000 text and unlimited data.

A £46 per month plan is also up for grabs with a one-off charge of £49 to cover the cost of the phone.

Once again this gets you unlimited data and 5,000 texts per month, but boosts the calls allowance to 2,000 anytime, any-network voice minutes and 5,000 Three to Three voice minutes.

If those prices seem pretty reasonable, that’s probably partly because they reflect the fact that Three’s 4G service doesn’t go live until December.

That means that if you signed up you’d be using your handset on a network that initially can’t provide you with super-fast mobile internet connection speeds of which the iPhone 5c is capable.

However, on the upside Three has pledged that customers who sign up now will be upgraded to 4G when it launches in the run-up to Christmas.

Initially restricted to London, Birmingham and Manchester, Three is aiming to operate a 4G service in a further 50 cities by the end of 2014.

Other UK carriers who have announced pricing and started pre-orders today are EE, T-Mobile, Orange and O2.
