The most detailed images yet of the iPhone 6’s rear shell have leaked online, laying bare Apple’s plans for the interior of its upcoming handset.
The pics were snared by MacRumors in conjunction with Feld and Volk, a Russian company which sells modified iPhones.
All the cut-out holes for volume controls, the power button and mute feature are in the same place as on previous, worse quality images.
There’s also a cut-out for the Apple logo, which some have postulated could be used as a light-up notification tool.
It’s more likely, though, that Apple is simply looking to use a non-metal material here to improve reception.
As the iPhone 6’s arrival edges ever closer, there are a growing number of leaks springing from Apple's supply chain.
More detail means that we should have a very clear idea of what to expect come the September launch, despite Tim Cook and co’s best laid plans to keep things under wraps.
