Toshiba has unveiled its G450 handset, with looks straight out of the Jetsons as the company bids to stand out in the crowded mobile phone market.
The G450 is being sold by Toshiba as less a mobile phone and more a multi-purpose gadget.
Hence, while it can be used as a tri-band GSM mobile, it also doubles as a USB Memory stick and a mobile broadband dongle, which plugs straight into your PC enabling you to surf the internet on the move.
The G450 also houses an MP3 player and offers 160 MB of capacity for storing songs, according to a review from intomobile.com.
Takashi Okamoto, deputy managing director at Toshiba Information Systems, said: “With increasingly mobile lives and flexible working practices, there’s a real and growing need for new solutions to connect people and enable them to work more effectively when they are away from the office.
“The G450 is an exciting product because it opens up new avenues for mobile access, keeping users in touch by email and the web via their notebook PC.”
The phone is available in red, black and white.
