Itching for some new Windows Phone7 info? Then you’ve come to the right place.
German HTC fansite HTCInside.de has leaked what appears to be a spyshot of an electronic system detailing a list of specs we can expect from HTC’s flagship blower for the upcoming Windows Phone 7 launch.
Unfortunately it’s all in German. But have no fear. Thanks to Google Translate we were able to decipher the specs with minimum effort, because that’s how we roll.
The handset will sport a pretty generous 4.3-inch touchscreen panel with 16 million colors, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the standard five-megapixel snapper with autofocus, LED flash and HD video recording and 8GB of internal storage, as per Microsoft’s minimum hardware guidelines, with a microSD slot to add a further 32GB.
Extras include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, a 3.5mm headset jack, plus a range of popular apps installed out of the box such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google Maps and a Media Player.
Sounds like a pretty solid bit of kit to us and according to HTCInside it will run you down €599, or roughly £512 as a SIM free option. Of course, we expect that price to be significantly or completely subsidised with a contract.
In case you were wondering what this HD7 actually looks like, a Chinese forum put up a bunch of snaps of the handset, still labeled HD3. But we presume it’s essentially the HD7 which was renamed from HD3 to signify it’s Windows Phone 7 status.
We will bring you more news regarding the HD7 and other Windows Phone 7 handsets as the launch date approaches.
