Images of LG’s debut Windows Phone 7 handset have leaked online, ahead of the official unveiling of Microsoft's new smartphone platform next week.
Unearthed by German tech site BestBoyz, the images of the LG Optimus 7 bear a sheen of professionalism that almost certainly marks them out as official. Alas, there’s no spec sheet to go with them, so we’re still largely in the dark about exactly what LG’s smartie will offer to mark it out from the Win Phone 7 handsets incoming from Samsung and HTC.
However, earlier leaks suggest we can pretty much take it as read that it will be packing a five megapixel snapper, plus what looks like a pretty expansive four-inch-plus touchscreen display.
Microsoft is due to unveil its platform on October 11th at simultaneous, all-the-bells-and-whistles press calls in New York and London, but in recent weeks has had to contend with a series of leaks that have threatened to take the wind out of its sails.
Just this week, the HTC Mozart specs showed up on Coolsmartphone after its keen-eyed journos discovered a support page for the handset on the Orange website.
According to the carrier, the Mozart will feature a 3.7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen a 1GHz processor and an eight-megapixel snapper with Xenon flash and HD video recording.
