Following yesterday’s announcement that the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is coming to O2, we can now confirm that it will also be available on Vodafone, Orange and T-Mobile.
According to Pocket-Lint sources, both Vodafone and T-Mobile have confirmed that they would be stocking the Play when it lands in the UK. Meanwhile, Orange employee Connor announced via Twitter that the network be offering the Play in April.
That means out of all the major players, it’s just Three still left out of the Playground, which has yet to reveal whether or not it will be offering the handset, but said it is “very excited by Sony Ericsson’s announcement”.
The Xperia Play was unveiled in style with a coveted TV spot at last Sunday’s Superbowl in the US. It is due to be officially showcased to the press on the 13th at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Standout specs of the gaming smartphone hybrid include Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) out of the box, a four-inch touchscreen panel, slide-out game pad with trademark PlayStation buttons, a 1GHz processor and a five-megapixel snapper.
Stay tuned for more info regarding the Play in the coming days.
