O2 is currently offering the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play gaming-focussed Android smartphone along with free games at a cut price, as part of a limited period promotion.
Until Monday (June 20th), the white or black edition of the Play is free when buyers sign up for a 24-month contract with O2 at £32 per month. That’s £5 per month less than O2’s previous cheapest free phone contract for the Play.
The deal entitles you to 600 call minutes, 500MB of data per month for all your web browsing, video watching and app download requirements and unlimited SMS messages.
You’ll also get 20 fresh games worth £60, compared with the standard bundle of 11 titles. And to round off the package, O2 is throwing in a free multi-media dock (usually £29.99), which you can use for juicing up your smartphone and can be rigged-up to your speakers for a full blooded gaming experience.
Released earlier this year, the Play is the so-called PlayStation phone and teams dedicated gaming controls with the latest, greatest Gingerbread version of Google’s Android operating system.
