The newly minted, entry-level iPhone 5C edition has landed on Three, as we await Apple’s next sales figures to assess whether its much-trumpeted cheaper model has been the sales fillip the 5C needed.
Perhaps the pick of Three’s tariffs for the 8GB iPhone 5C is £35 per month over two years, plus a £19 per month. That entitles you to 600 call minutes per month, as well as all-you-can-eat data and unlimited texts.
If you don’t need that sort of hefty allowance, you can get 1GB of data, 600 minutes and unlimited texts for £29 per month, once again over 24 months. The same £19 upfront charge also applies.
Other than reduced storage (the standard iPhone 5C that landed last year features 16GB), the iPhone 5C 8GB is unchanged from its predecessor . So you’ll also get a strapping A6 processor, a long-life battery and an enhanced eight-megapixel camera with 1080 HD video recording.
The phone’s other big sells are that it breaks with Apple’s tradition of metal and aluminium builds and features a super-light polycarbonate construction and comes in a choice of five colours.
