The HTC One M9 will launch on March 1st, HTC has confirmed.
The company punted out the news via its UK Twitter account, with a teaser image that featured the tagline "Let them stare. The new HTC One" and a March 1st reveal date.
This isn't a surprise, but it's nice to have confirmation.
The "let them stare" tagline hints that like the HTC One (M8), the device will be quite a looker.
That would fit with the leaks. A number of spy shots show the handset having the same plush build quality as its predecessor.
HTC unwittingly leaked the name of its next device on its own website.
A wallpaper also leaked, seemingly confirming the device's 1080p screen.
We're also expecting Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM.
HTC is said to make a departure from its usual camera tech for the handset. Instead of the ultrapixel duo snapper – which had a resolution equivalent to 4 megapixels – it will bolt on a 20.7-megapixel shooter.
However, the front-facer is said to stick with the ultrapixel tech, which should make it good for low-light selfies. Whether that's a good thing, we'll leave to you to decide.
