We already knew it. Our neighbours knew it. Now we know that Samsung knows it too. We speak of course of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. In case you didn’t know, it’s coming out on November 17th.
Unveiled last month amid much fanfare, the Galaxy Nexus will hit store shelves in Blighty in just under two weeks, something online vendor Clove had already spilled on pre-order page for the hotly awaited Android alpha kit. Still, it doesn’t hurt to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth.
Simon Stanford, head of mobile at Samsung UK, revealed: "The level of interest and anticipation surrounding the release of the Galaxy Nexus has been fantastic.
"We're delighted to introduce the Galaxy Nexus to the UK and are looking forward to seeing it in the shops on 17th of November."
Running the newest, tastiest Ice Cream Sandwich iteration of Android, Samsung and Google’s latest collaboration is home to positively immense 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a 720p native resolution, a 1.2GHz dual core processor and a five-megapixel snapper that shoots clips in blazing 1080p.
Measuring just 8.5mm thin with no physical buttons at the front, the Galaxy Nexus is a slick, svelte piece of tech that’s sure to appeal to gadget lovers everywhere.
And it will be available on almost all the major UK networks, including Vodafone, Three and O2, as well as high street retailers Carphone Warehouse and Phones4u.
Pricing starts from £549.99 for the SIM free unlocked version. However, if you’re of a mind to pick it up free, you’re looking at contact options starting at minimum £35 a month on a two-year term.
