Motorola looks set to offer its forthcoming Moto X handset at the same budget price point as Google’s Nexus 4. That’s the word from ‘sources in China’ who say the device will be far cheaper than rival kits.
The 16GB model is set to cost just $299 (£195), with the 32GB edition coming in at £349. Those prices will doubtless be heftier here in the UK, but only by a small margin.
The Moto X has been leaked extensively in recent weeks. Following a teaser ad in major US newspapers, Google’s Eric Schmidt was seen using one and specs were also revealed.
These are said to include a dual-core processor and a 720p 4.5-inch display. Google and Motorola will officially unveil the Moto X on August 1st, before unleashing it later that month, according to recent web gossip.
