US tech store Target claims the iPad mini 2 with Retina Display will be up for grabs from November 21st. The company has listed the date on its website alongside a spec sheet for the newly launched tablet.
Apple has yet to confirm when the smaller version of the iPad will hit shelves. While Tim Cook said that the iPad air would go on sale on November 1st, he gave a more vague 'sometime-later-in-November' timeline for the iPad mini.
Even if Target is spot on with its November 21st prediction, which seems likely as it falls before the key week of Thanksgiving and Black Friday in the US, supplies of the iPad mini 2 are expected to remain low for some time.
In a call with investors earlier this week, Cook admitted that inventory of the iPad mini 2 is tight. Some analysts have claimed this will be the case until well into 2014.
The new iPad mini is likely to be in high demand, thanks to its Retina Display and the fact that it packs the same architecture as its svelte sibling, the iPad Air.
