Microsoft is set to launch a 4G edition of its Surface 2 tablet here in Blighty, it has confirmed. The new slate will be up for grabs from May 8th, with pre–orders available now.
This tablet is impressively specced. It comes with a massive 64GB of storage, super fast LTE smarts, a 10.6–inch HD display, Windows RT 8.1, Microsoft’s RT version of Office and an Nvidia Tegra 4 processor to ensure everything works at lightning pace.
What’s more, Microsoft is slinging in some neat extras to sweeten the deal.
There’s free Skype to landline calling for a year to more than 60 countries, access to two million Skype hotspots and a massive 200GB of OneDrive storage for two years.
Of course, all that tech doesn’t come cheap. You’ll need to find £539 in order to nab one.
However, with access to the likes of Xbox Music and Windows’ ever–growing array of apps, this is a decent alternative for those who don’t want an iPad and fancy something more high–powered than an entry–level Android tab.
