The ever-expanding range of Genio mobile phones from South Korean manufacturer Samsung is to see a new addition in the form of the Genio Slide, which Vodafone has just announced it will be stocking for British customers to enjoy.
As with the other members of the Genio family, the Slide will pitch itself at the teen market, focusing on social networking with compatibility with Facebook and Twitter built-in.
The Genio Slide will also provide access to the BBC's catch-up TV service, iPlayer, which is a fairly interesting capability to include.
The Genio Slide is so called because it has a full QWERTY keypad hidden beneath the 2.8-inch touch- sensitive screen and it is set to be a little bit more versatile than its fellow Genio mobiles thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity and a three megapixel camera.
Vodafone has signed up to a deal that will ensure that no other UK network will be able to offer the Genio Slide for the first month after its release and with pay monthly contracts starting from just £15 a month, it could sell like hot cakes.
