The TG02 and the K01 from Toshiba have just been unveiled and with 4.1 inch touchscreen displays and powerful hardware, Toshiba could be set to become a force to reckon with in the smartphone market.
Both the TG02 and the K01 use Windows Mobile 6.5, but Toshiba has taken the sensible step of creating its own full 3D user interface to cover the inadequacies of Microsoft's soon-to-be-replaced mobile platform.
The TG02 is under 1cm thick and its screen is almost big enough to give the HTC HD2 a run for its money.
Meanwhile the K01 packs in a full QWERTY keypad and A screen based on OLED technology, which has the potential to provide a mobile phone video viewing experience like no other.
Internal storage space will not be overly generous to start off with, but owners of either handset will be able to add in an extra 32GB via high capacity microSD memory cards at a later date.
