The unannounced Nokia N9 has reputedly been caught on camera for the first time - and the unofficial images have caused quite a stir online.
The N9 looks to be a slider smartphone that has a tilting display as with the N97 and a large QWERTY keypad similar to that of the N900.
However, some observers have pointed to similarities between the prototype device and Nokia's existing Booklet 3G.
The alleged N9 certainly appears a little rough around the edges, but it clearly bears the Nokia branding and seems to have the right kind of features to allow it to compete at the top of the smartphone market.
On September 14th the media will be able to get a look at Nokia's plans for the future in London when the manufacturer holds its Nokia World conference. Hopefully further details about the elusive and intriguing N9 will finally be made public at this event.
