Rovio, the makers of the wildly popular Angry Birds game may be ready to announce its plans for a Windows Phone 7 version come next month.
The developers lashed out at Microsoft last month after the Redmond giant had falsely (or at least prematurely) advertised the title on its website despite no announcement from the Finns. It seems now that Rovio is ready to forgive that oversight and reveal its plans for a WP7 port of Angry Birds on December 11th.
Responding to a Twitter query, Rovio said: “We will give you an update on our plans for WP7 on #angrybirdsday as well. Maybe a meetup in Redmond? Anybody? #angrybirdsday“.
Angry Birds Day as the tweet states is on December 11th, which celebrates the first full year since the release of the bird-slinging phenomenon that’s been purchased more than ten million times on Apple’s devices alone.
WP7 aficionados will be hoping that Rovio will use the occasion to reveal some good news for the platform.
