A raft of new features are coming to Windows Phone 7 smartphones from January, mounting speculation suggests.
Developer Chris Walsh, who worked on the highly regarded Chevron WP7 unlocker tool, appears to have some inside info about the revamped OS and has revealed via Twitter than we can look forward to something "massive". A clearly very excited Walsh also Tweeted that the revamp of the platform is so far-reaching that they “could’ve called it Windows Phone 8”.
That adds credence to other rumours doing the rounds about a sweet set of new functions that it’s set to bring. Not least among these is copy and paste and multi-tasking.
We’re also reportedly in line for customisable ringtones (not so exciting that one, admittedly) and turn by turn directions in Bing Maps.
News of developments regarding Microsoft’s Android and iOS rival come amid claims that its flagship device, the HTC HD7 is afflicted by a similar antenna problem as the iPhone 4.
