Nokia has released a special edition version of its flagship N8 smartphone with double the memory of the original.
The variant offers a whopping 32GB of internal memory, compared with the standard version’s 16GB. A further of 32GB storage is available via microSD card support on both editions.
Other than that specs are unchanged. That means you’ll be getting a 12.1 megapixel snapper with autofocus and a Carl Zeiss lens, a secondary VGA snapper for video calling and a 3.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen with capacitive feedback.
Also on board is an email document viewer with mobile versions of all key Microsoft packages, support for multi-touch gestures, the usual array of connectivity options (think: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G) and HD video recording at 720p.
Price points and carriers for the new model N8, the existence of which was confirmed in a mail promoting apps for Nokia’s Nseries, have yet to be announced. But we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we hear more.
